Is Microgaming Giving Lord Of The Rings Slot The Axe?

Several internet gaming affiliates are claiming that Microgaming is about to remove its popular video slot The Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring from its library.

Many affiliates are claiming that they have been told by Microgaming licensees that it will be removing the LOTR slot from its casino software on May 31st.

Currently Microgaming has not confirmed this rumor, and no purported reason for the withdrawal has been given. The LOTR slot has been immensely popular with punters since it was released in 2010.

I received a message to that effect, with the disclaimer that it would be replaced with "something even better". We shall see...
