Massachusetts Online Poker Legislation Knocked Down

This story was published more than 12 years ago.

An attempt to legalize and regulate online poker in Massachusetts has failed to be passed on as an amendment to the state's budgetary bill.

The bill was introduced by State Representative Daniel Winslow who said that legislators in the Bay State did not want to delay or weigh down the bill with "irrelevant" amendments.

Winslow says that the bill triggered discussion among his various colleagues and that he will attempt to get a law passed that will legalize internet poker next year.
