Internet wagering giant 888 Holdings has announced that it has paid the Spanish government for back taxes, helping to ensure that it will be able to operate within the country beginning on June 2st.
The €7.4 million payment puts the betting firm in the same positive territory as competitors such as bwin.party, Betfair, and Sportingbet. 888 announced that the taxes are being paid with the company's cash on hand.
