The state of Michigan's Attorney General has taken a significant step in banning three internet gambling cafes in the state capital of Lansing.

Attorney General Bill Schuette signed the cease in desist order against the cafes, which were offering patrons the ability to play internet games to win cash under the guise of playing a sweepstakes.

Schuette was quoted in the Times Herald as saying that his staff warned the operators of the cafe that they will face legal action if they do not stop violating Michigan's gaming laws within the next two weeks.
