Merge Poker Stops Accepting Utah Registrations

The Merge Poker Network has told poker information site PokerAddict that it will stop accepting player registrations from the state Utah.

Utah has criminalized the act of online gambling in legislation earlier this year, and earlier in the week Governor Gary Herbert lobbied members of the U.S. Congress to oppose any internet gambling legislation.

Merge has stopped allowing players on its website from the states of Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New York, and Washington.
