Internet Gambling Numbers In Italy Move Up

Italian internet gambling revenues were on the rise in the month of February, rising 21% in the second month of 2012.

Italian regulator AAMS reported the results, highlighting:

  • Fixed odds sports betting revenues, which were up 377% to €25.6 million

  • Online poker, bingo, casino, and sportsbetting revenues were up 20.6% compared to January, to €78.6 million, up 8% from the same period last year

  • Lottomatica held 29% of the market share

  • Bingo revenues were down 14% in Feburary from January, to €4.7 million, and down 24% when compared to the same period last year
