Online gambling magnate Calvin Ayre has hired two high end lawyers to help defend him in a money laundering case within the United States.
Ayre has retained the services of Barry and Stuart Slotnick, who have worked with Sportingbet and gambling giant Steve Wynn in the past. The duo have built a sturdy resume as being great negotiators and litigators for their clients.
Ayre, who founded the giant online gambling brand Bodog has been charged with money laundering by the US Attorney's Office out of Maryland. Speculation is running rampant that Ayre has hired the Slotnicks to negotiate a plea deal with the United States. Other analysts are predicting however that Ayre may intend on forming a stiff defense against the charges.
