The defendants in the Black Friday civil proceedings have been granted another extension to make a legal response to the lawsuits being brought against them by the U.S. government.
Defendants named in the civil suit include: Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, Howard Lederer, Ray Bitar, Rafe Furst, and Chad Elie.
The new deadline has been moved from March 19th to May 14th, 2012. Originally the defendants were given a response deadline of June 30, 2011.

Also in the news are reports that a deal between Full Tilt Poker and the Group Bernard Tapie is imminent. There is speculation that once the deal is completed that payment for players of the former poker giant will soon follow.
Other rumors state that Full Tilt is slated to relaunch later this month, and seeking reinstatement of its Alderney online gaming license.
