Online gambling software developer Playtech plc has announce that it has signed Grupo Caliente, Mexico's largest land based gambling operator as an online client.

The move by Caliente will see it receiving Playtech's entire online casino product, which includes table games, slots, and branded games. Groupo Caliente currently operates more than 90 land based betting sites in Mexico, Central, and South America.

Groupo Caliente's online gambling site will operate under Mexico's gaming regulations. As part of the deal Playtech and Caliente will work to provide services in additional Latin American countries.

Commenting on the deal, Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said "We are delighted to have secured this agreement with one of Latin America's largest and most respected gaming operators with whom, over time, we expect to develop a valuable relationship.

"Our work with Caliente is in line with Playtech's strategy of entering new regulated markets and diversifies the company's geographic footprint beyond its European and Asian marketplaces."

Groupo Caliente CEO Eduardo Hernandez also commented, saying "Our agreement with Playtech will provide a solid, state of the art casino platform that, combined with our current offering, will deliver the best online gaming experience to our customers. With our combined expertise and commitment to excellence, we will be able to fully expand into Latin American regulated markets."
