Business publication Forbes is reporting that gross gaming revenues in Macau could potentially hit an all time record this month.
Forbes cites Citi channel checks for the first eleven days of March, suggesting that GGR is growing at a staggering 40%. Revenues for the month have already hit 9.3 billion patacas and appear to be on track to surpass the record 26.8 billion patacas that operators took in during October 2011.
Market analysts at Nomura are more pessimistic about Macau's revenues, forecasting March GGR to hit 25.5 billion patacas. This number is still large however, as it would imply that the market has grown 27% year over year.
