A Look At WGS Technology

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

Speculation is running rampant across the internet about the origins and operators of online wagering software developer WGS Technology, that appeared in 2011.

The company's website claims that the business has been around for fourteen years, and claims a game library of 100 titles. The company appears to only have one licensee, which happens to be online casino Liberty Slots.

Recently Liberty Slots has been spamming players, who have no idea where the casino got their contact information. The casino's support team is equally cryptic, telling players that they do not know where the casino is based, or even if it is licensed.

Punters on internet forums have remarked how closely the software resembles Vegas Technology, which operated until last year alongside the English Harbour casino group. Affiliate marketers claim that WGS bought the software from Vegas Technologies, although there has been no confirmation of this among independent sources.

Casino Listings will keep this topic updated as we find out more information about this software developer and its licensee Liberty Slots when we learn more.

Some guys will never learn that it isn't possible to hunt the same duck twice. Sounds like a very rough casino sofware.

This is definitely something else. I used to love English Harbour but wouldn't consider playing Liberty slots due to the fact they are spamming people, and I frankly don't trust the casino or software.

The games weren't the prettiest, but they had good tournaments with Vegas Technology, and I wonder if WGS is the same deal or just a clone.

It is the same Vegas Tech software under a new name. It has all the same games. The Liberty Slots website even looks basically the same as the old English Harbour website. However what is unclear is whether it is the same people running the casino under a new name after claiming they went out of business and doing a runner without paying all their bills.
