Online betting site Interwetten has entered the Italian internet gambling market immediately after receiving its AAMS license.
Part of Interwetten's bold marketing plan for entering the new market includes sponsoring high end football clubs. The company has already signed Udinese Calcio, FC Parma, Novara Calcio, AC Siena and US Lecce of Series A. Interwetten will receive strong television and online coverage from the clubs' official websites.
Commenting on his company's newest venture, Interwetten Managing Director Dr. Birgit Bosch said: “We are delighted and proud of the milestone we have reached in securing an official license for Italy , taking a further step in the dynamic development of Interwetten."
