The International Olympic Committee is set to hold a hearing in Lausanne, Switzerland this week to discuss recommendations on illegal sports betting during the Olympics.
The games are set to take place in London in six months, and officials are very concerned about the influence sports betting can have on the integrity of the games. Government officials, Interpol officials, sports leaders, and betting operators are scheduled to take part in the meeting.
IOC Director General Christophe De Kepper said "We need Governments to wake up to the magnitude of the problem."
