A lawyer for the Groupe Bernard Tapie claims that poker professional Mike Matusow owes the beleaguered poker company $700,000.
The claim of the staggering debt comes from Behn Dayanim, a lawyer for the firm that is trying to acquire the former poker giant. The alleged debt is reportedly part of the $16.5 million that is owed to Full Tilt by 19 different poker pros.
Dayanim said that Matusow has not responded to attempts by the company to settle the debt. For his part Matusow denies the claim. Speaking about the allegation on Twitter, Matusow wrote: "for all my fans out there just to let u all know i dont owe full tilt anything why my name is mentioned i dont know'.
