A record bad beat jackpot was won at America's Cardroom this week, as the $500,000 jackpot was won by a player who calls himself "Poobah911".

The jackpot was won on February 7th when Poobah's quad Aces lost to "toptrainer", who ended up with a straight flush. The win netted Poobah $175,232.10, while toptrainer took home a respectable $116,809.70.

Commenting on the win, America's Cardroom Spokesman Michael Harris said "The latest Bad Beat Jackpot win will go down in Americas Cardroom as legendary. Not only did a brand new player pop our $500k Bad Beat Jackpot, but sharing in the prize pool is one of our frequent Bad Beat Jackpot winners."

Also in on the hand and taking home $10,605.59 was "Word Son", who has won two other bad beat jackpots. In December he netted $37,224.24 and $8,089.57 in bad beat jackpots.
