AGCC Establishes Relationship With Ontario

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission has established a working relationship with the Canadian Province of Ontario after the two jurisdictions signed a Memorandum of Understanding this week.

Ontario, which became the third Canadian province to legalize online gambling will be able to work with the AGCC to exchange information and work together during investigations. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation will also work with the Alderney gambling authority to develop initiatives in the following areas:

  • Common standards
  • Requirements
  • Testing protocols
  • Consumer protection
  • Enhancing public confidence
  • Anti-crime measures

The AGCC has recently signed similar agreements with gaming authorities in Denmark, Nevada, and Kahnawake.
