A United States Senate Committee is set to hold an oversight hearing regarding the Department of Justice's opinion on internet gambling.
The hearing is being held by the United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and is scheduled to take place on February 9th. The hearing will focus on what challenges Native American tribes may face in lieu of the DoJ's change of stance regarding online gambling.
Casino Listings readers will recall that late last year the DoJ changed its stance, stating that The Wire Act applies only to online sports betting, making other forms of internet gambling possibly being regulated for Americans in the near future.
