One of the oldest poker brands in the online world is making a comeback, as PokerRoom.com has been relaunched.
PokerRoom has been absent from the online world for three years, due largely to the impact of the UIGEA which was passed in 2006. The site was originally founded in 1999 and shut its doors in 2009, with its players being ported over to Bwin.
Industry analysts have begun to speculate as to why exactly the website was resurrected. Some observers speculate the site's relaunch coincides with an attempt to enter the American market, while others opine that the launch could be meant to show off the company's Ongame Network, which is currently for sale.
