The United Kingdom's Advertising Standards Authority has censured a press advertisement by bookmaker Paddy Power.
The offending ad featured professional soccer player Luiz Suarez and read: "Money-back if Suarez scores. Liverpool v Man UTD. If Suarez scores we'll refund losing bets". The ASA stated that the usage of Suarez, 24 years old at the time of the ad, encouraged young people to gamble and was socially irresponsible.
The ASA has ordered Paddy Power to not show the ad again and in the future must use people aged 25 or older in ads.
