Online gambling software developer Microgaming has signed an agreement with DC Comics that will see it creating video slots based on The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.
As part of the deal, Microgaming will be given permission by the comic giant to use characters, themes, and animations from the two motion pictures that feature comic book icon Batman.
Released in 2008, The Dark Knight featured Batman (Christian Bale) fighting his arch nemesis The Joker (played by the late Heath Ledger). The movie was immensely popular, grossing just over $1 billion at the box office and becoming the 10th highest grossing movie of all time. The Dark Knight rises is slated to be released later this year and will feature Batman fighting the Catwoman and terrorist Bane.
