Online gaming software developer Amaya Gaming Group has announced that it has inked a three year licensing deal with Aristocrat Leisure Limited that will allow for games to be developed for online and video lottery terminals.
As part of the deal Amaya subsidiary Chartwell Technology will be able to utilize the games developed by Aristocrat. Some of the titles included in the licensing deal include Pompeii, Where's The Gold, and Wild Panda.
Amaya Vice President of Business Development Darcy Kough said “The online gaming opportunity is becoming increasingly attractive as a number of jurisdictions around the world are considering regulatory changes that would allow new domestic gaming websites to operate."
“This agreement strengthens Amaya’s position by supplementing our existing online gaming content with Aristocrat titles which are well known among casino customers worldwide.”
Aristocrat Online Gaming General Manager Gillian Findlay also commented, saying "Aristocrat’s proven slot content is ideally suited to transition to the online space, as our initial titles have shown. Online gaming is growing rapidly, and Amaya’s strong distribution helps expand the reach for our extensive portfolio to more players.”
The deal by Amaya is the latest in a series of big business agreements completed by the Montreal based company. Last year it acquired gambling software developer Chartwell Technology and is currently in talks to acquire Cryptologic.
