Nevada Approves Online Poker Regulations

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

The Nevada Gaming Commission voted unanimously to approve of online poker regulations that were written by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The regulations were approved by a 4-0 vote and would be implemented if federal legislation on internet gambling are approved.

The regulations make Nevada the first U.S. state to have comprehensive regulations for online poker and may work as a test case for other states as the federal government waits to act on legislation sitting in Congress.
