Online gambling giant Ladbrokes has chosen Microgaming to power its online casinos in Denmark and Spain.

Ladbrokes' sites are expected to go live in January of next year with Microgaming's Flash and download based software. Both the Danish and Spanish sites will get many of Microgaming's casino games, as well as its popular poker software, which will give punters the ability to play tournaments.

Speaking about the agreement, Ladbrokes Director of Corporate and Strategic Development Adam Greenblatt said: “We have a strong relationship with Microgaming and our players have always reacted well to their products; we are pleased to be working with them as we target new licences in Spain and Denmark, markets familiar to Ladbrokes already."

Microgaming's Head of Business Development Andy Clucas said: “Once granted a licence, Ladbrokes will be able to offer the most competitive range of products.”
