Casino Gran Madrid Launches First Spanish Online Casino

Spain's land based Casino Gran Madrid has become the first legal Spanish online casino as it has launched its software through its website.

The casino is being run on Playtech software and features a variety of games such as: blackjack, slot machines and French roulette. Poker is going to added eventually, although the Spanish Casino will have to wait to obtain a secondary license; hopefully by the end of the year.

In order to become Spain's first legal online betting site, Casino Gran Madrid has to undergo an extensive series of tests and audits by independent personnel. The company's technical and software processes were inspected, as were operational procedures and responsible gambling programs. One of the processes in place is a software recovery system that allows the casino to recover from a server crash in under seven minutes.

Casino Gran Madrid currently is employing ten people, but has all of the support features of a land based casino a company spokesperson said.
