Turkish authorities shut down the website superbahis.com, which was sold by Sportingbet to East Pioneer Corporation B.V .
According to a report by Bloomberg Business News, the website was shut down on October 14th, the same day the deal was completed by Sportingbet and East Pioneer Corporation B.V . The Turkish government had said that it planned to take action against all illegal online gambling websites. Sportingbet reportedly got at least £125 million for its Turkish interests.
Sportingbet CFO Jim Wilkinson said: “We’re very confident the situation will continue for three more years as it has for the last five.”
