William Hill Continues Sponsorship of Ayr Gold Cup Festival

UK based betting giant William Hill has announced that it is extending its sponsorship of the Ayr Gold Cup Festival for an additional two years.

William Hill Head of Racing Kate Miller said, "After three years sponsorship, the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup sponsorship has become a favourite amongst many of us, and after such a fantastic weekend's action at Ayr, it became apparent that an extension of our contract was necessary."

"The tireless team at Ayr, coupled with incredibly engaged racegoers makes for an incredible atmosphere, and we are already looking forward to 2012."

William Hill sponsors the flat horse race each September in Scotland. The spint is considered to be the richest sprint handicap inside of Europe. William Hill not only gets naming rights for the event, but also company sponsorships of the Ayre Gold, Silver and Bronze Cup, in addition to the Doonside, Ayrshire, and Kilkerran Cups.

Ayr Racecourse Chairman Alan MacDonald said, "We are delighted with the news that William Hill have extended their Ayr Gold Cup sponsorship by a further two years."
