Italy's Gambling Market Continues To Grow

Italian gambling regulator AAMS has released the latest statistics for the Italian gambling market, which has shown significant growth beating even the results seen in the first half of the year.

For the first seven months of 2011, total gaming wagers in Italy grew by 21.45% compared to the same period last year, to €41.9 billion ($58.9 billion). The total for the cumulative year beats the first half totals, which saw the market grow by 19.33%.

For the month of July, wagers placed were €6.08 billion, which includes €3.61 billion in slot machines.
