Online gambling group Betfair's recent controversial decisions in regards to player issues has angered many in the online gambling community.
The UK based Telegraph newspaper quotes more than 10 gamblers who lost more than £16,610 in profits after Betfair did not process their bets said that the site did not honor the bets, only refunding their stakes and not awarding any winnings.
The article states: "In a statement that infuriated some Betfair clients, the company on Tuesday admitted to 'technical issues in transmitting bets into the Tote pools in the last 10 minutes before the pool closed."
"However, Betfair refused to honour the bets of punters who thought they had won the jackpot after finding six winners at Newmarket last Friday."
Betfair announced that it had "returned funds for the failed bets" and said that the punters were never given confirmation that the bets had been registered, and did not appear on the customer's account statements.
Betfair's account of the situations seems to run contrary to what many players are claiming, including punter Nick Bradley who claims he wagered £1,200 and lost out on a profit of £4,610. He says all of the funds were taken from his account.
