Gamesys Developing Games For Red Or Black TV Show

Online gaming software developer Gamesys has snagged the rights to develop a series of pay-to-play games based on the new TV series Red or Black.

The games to be released by Gamesys are currently titled " Red or Black Slots ", " Red or Black Instant ", " Red or Black Hi Lo " and " Red or Black Stacks " and will launch on September 2nd on Gamesys website jackpotjoy.com.

The television show the games are based on is set to debut on September 3rd, and is predicted to be a big hit. The show was developed by Simon Cowell, who is behind the TV phenomenon "American Idol".

In addition to the games, ITV, Syco TV and Gamesys have partnered up to develop a live online play along experience for the show. They are working with 2-Screen Social TV to deliver the experience to viewers, which will be free and allow them to compete against friends on Facebook.

Chief Operating Officer at Gamesys Lee Fenton said, “Red or Black is the most exciting TV event of the year and at Gamesys we are delighted to be working with ITV Studios and SYCO to develop exclusive games that capture the excitement of the show and allow Jackpotjoy players to make their own Red or Black decisions”.

Denise O'Donoghue, ITV Managing Director also commented on the Gamesys deal, saying “A primetime production of the scale of Red or Black? clearly has a huge amount of potential off-air; working with Syco we have been exploring the best opportunities to fully exploit this fantastic programme idea. Gamesys are experts in branded online gaming and are well positioned to reap maximum value from Red or Black? in this area."
