Bodog Europe's Chief Executive Patrik Selin has told InsidePoker that his company plans to launch a new poker software package by the end of the year.
Bodog, which currently has its own proprietary software developed by Micropower is one of the few large gambling firms with services open to players from the United States, and will possibly have the new software up and running by the end of November. There is no word whether or not the new software would allow U.S. players access.
Speaking about his company's new software, Selin said, "We think it (the new software) is going to be top three in the industry from a software perspective and depending on what happens it may even be top two."
Commenting on Bodog's limited promotion for its poker network, Selin said, "If you are going to do a lot of marketing you need to have good software or you are just training up players for one of the bigger sites, so until now we have kept a lower profile. After we get (the new software) up in November it's going to be a really big step forward and then you are going to see much more poker marketing from us."
