WCOOP Gets $30 Million Investment From PokerStars

Online poker site PokerStars.com has gone all in for the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker, putting up $30 million in tournament prize money.

The online poker tournament will be held September 4th through the 25th with 62 events being held. Buy-ins for each event will be priced differently, but will run from $109 to $10,3000 to enter into high roller tournaments. The start date of September 4th will see three events being hosted: a $215 no limit hold'em six max event, $10,300 no-limit hold'em high roller tournament, and $215 no-limit hold'em event.

The winner of the main event will have a $5 million prize guarantee from PokerStars, and the winner will be taking home at least $1 million.
