The player, who goes by the online poker alias OmgoMgomGo won €442,000 from the jackpot after an excruciating hand which saw his four King hand lose to another player who had four Aces. Nine players who were at the table when the hand happened all received prizes from the jackpot.

Commenting on the hand that won him the jackpot, OmgoMgomGo said "I had KK and all the money went in pre-flop. Once I hit my quads and saw the second Ace come on the river I was hoping that my opponent had hit their 1 outer! When I realised it had happened I was so happy, I still cannot believe it! The atmosphere at the table when it hit was great and I would like to thank all of the players and the Poker Heaven staff for their best wishes. "

Poker Heaven Chief Colin McCreadie stated that the previous Bad Beat record jackpot was $1.2 million (€830,000). Now that the jackpot was hit, it has been reset to €250,000.
