UK based sportsbook Betfred has teamed up with Fantasy iTeam to deliver a new fantasy football app for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
The agreement is for one year and will see players managing a fantasy league within the English Premier League. Players will be competing against other players in addition to celebrities and former Premier League players. The app will integrate social networking, live scoring, challenges, and prize competitions which are all integrated through the Betfred Network.
Betfred Head of Media Mark Pearson, touting the new fantasy app said, "The beauty of this new app is that you can manage your team anywhere now and you can also have a little punt on the football. We are also incorporating social media to encourage banter which is what football is all about."
Fantasy iTeam Founder Adam Patten was also excited about the deal saying, "The Fantasy iTeam app was developed solely with the mobile user in mind, so we are delighted to partner with Betfred who are focusing heavily on development of new smartphone customers."
Betfred was founded in 1967 by Fred Drone. It now has more than 840 betting locations in which to place bets.
