Online betting company Betfair has announced that it has updated its mobile products, which include the launching of updated iPad and iPhone applications through the Apple Store.
Betfair also announced that it concluded a significant upgrade to Betfair Touch, a mobile web application, which will see improvements in response times, better search capabilities, the ability to get live scores in a more timely fashion, and enhance in-play betting.
Betfair's update will help its mobile users, which were announced to be in excess of 168,000 as of the end of June. Betfair Head of Mobile Products Richard Hewitt said, "Having pioneered betting via mobile, Betfair now has a highly evolved customer proposition in this channel and we believe all three of these Applications will bring an enhanced user experience to our growing band of mobile customers. We are looking forward to really growing out this key platform with more innovation over the coming year.”
The betting company's updated iPhone app will allow users to deposit and withdraw funds via the app for the first time, and also features account loss and deposit limit features.
