Oklahoma: Year long investigation culminates in three charges of illegal gambling

Detective Roland Benavides, an Oklahoma City police officer was indicted and charged with illegal gambling by a Multi-County Grand Jury this week. Benavides had been under investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department for over a year before being charged said Police Chief Bill Citty.

The officer has been charged with three counts in connection with playing online gambling games of chance.

Two indictments in connection with the gambling website have already been handed down to David Roy Tune and C.L. Richards.

The judge unsealed the indictment and set Benavides' bond at $2,000 for each count. A preliminary hearing conference is set for July 6.
