Full featured fruit machines added to GTECH G2 portfolio

GTechG2 has expanded its online casino games portfolio with a quartet of new fully featured fruit machine titles developed by Unionjackpots. The company, which includes software developer Boss Media in its grouping, is the first distributor to offer Unionjackpots' new games with internet gambling operator Bet365 set to be the first licensee to provide the new slots to customers.

Four games, including Mad Money Monster, a traditional UK pub-style fruit machine with five knockout levels offering scaling value prizes and interactive features, and Treasure Hunter, a quest for the Holy Grail with a Hi Lo bonus game built into it, will be added initially with scope for more in the future.

The deal came about after what GTech G2 described as, “after an intense two year development programme by Unionjackpots,”. The company confirmed that, “The games can be specifically tailored to match the operator’s player base in terms of features, jackpots and demographics.”

“This is a world first product and customer interest is very high,” said Dominic Mansour, VP Gaming Products at GTechG2. “So we’re delighted to be the first to acquire it.”

Peter Clayton, chairman of Unionjackpots added, “In terms of what is out there this is night and day. If you look at what is currently available online in the fruit machine sector, with virtually no features or game play, they’re effectively a very basic and boring cut down slot. The offline industry did make games like that, but back in the 80’s”.
