Online gambling marketing affiliates are speculating this week on the intention behind an enigmatic communication from the Casino Coins group, which boasts such internet gambling brands as Caribbean Gold, English Harbour, Millionaire Casino, Silver Dollar, Slots Galore, Super Slots and VIP Slots in its stable.
The affiliate communication advised that Casino Coins will no longer be accepting new customers effective May 16th, 2011, a policy that will be implemented for brands including Caribbean Gold, English Harbour, Millionaire Casino, Silver Dollar, Slots Galore, Super Slots and VIP Slots.
"Affiliates that are on a revenue share model will be paid on a quarterly basis for all players referred to Casino Coins beginning on June 1st, 2011," the email advises.
"The revenue share earned for the month of May will be paid by June 15th, 2011 with the first quarter paid by September 15th, 2011."
The communication immediately triggered speculation that the affiliate program has closed, but that existing players referred to its brands in the past will continue to be serviced.
That in turn raised suspicions that the closure represented a switch in marketing strategy from affiliate activity to more direct player acquisition tactics by the brands concerned, and how this may affect the business prospects for affiliates in the immediate and longer terms.
When InfoPowa went to press there had been no further clarification from Casino Coins.
