Gibraltar-based land and online bookmaker Stan James plc has clinched an important deal with Keeneland Association, the world's largest thoroughbred auction company and world-class race course located in Lexington, Kentucky.

Under the terms of the agreement, Keeneland will provide its content to Stan James and its Oregon-licensed and regulated pari-mutuel horse racing brand Racing2Day for the 2011 Keeneland Spring Meet that begins this week and continues through Friday, April 29.

The partnership is expected to promote Keeneland's racing program more widely, boost the size of US Tote pools and expand the Keeneland product into new markets.

Denis Kelly, CEO of Stan James plc, said: "Stan James has its roots firmly in horse racing and we are thrilled to form a partnership with a world-class racing brand such as Keeneland, which is renowned for the quality of its horses, diversity of its clientele and its state-of-the-art facilities."

Rogers Beasley, Vice President of Racing for Keeneland, said: "Given its tremendous history and horse racing legacy, Stan James and its licensed US brand Racing2Day are the perfect partners for Keeneland to expand their product into new territories while showcasing the quality of racing on offer here in Kentucky."
