140,000 pounds distributed by Betfair to UK amateur sports clubs since 2008

Betfair's charity initiative Cash4Clubs, a vehicle to help amateur sports clubs in the UK in collaboration with SportsAid, has made a further £12,820 donation to 16 clubs, bringing to £140,000 the amount it has funded since 2008.

Independent personalities adjudicate on each round of funding, with the current panel comprising Andy Slaughter, MP for Hammersmith and Shadow Minister for Justice; Brett Taylor, CEO, British Athletes Commission; Richard Copeman, Deputy Sports Editor, Daily Mail and Tim Lawler, CEO SportsAid.

Betfair's Head of Corporate Responsibility, Georgina Corbett said: "Betfair cares passionately about the welfare of grassroots sport in the UK, and our joint initiative with SportsAid has enabled us to make a real difference to so many amateur clubs."
