Copenhagen: Casino systems developer Polo Flair has today unveiled "The Zink", a product they are claiming to be the world's first "personal cash dispenser". The device, which is little bigger than the size of a U.S. hundred dollar bill, may be attached to a personal computer via a USB cable or wireless dongle, and has the ability to both dispense and accept cash upon confirmation of a transaction from an authorised merchant.

Developer Polo Flair specialises in the development of innovative software and hardware solutions for the online gambling industry. Industry experts were effusive in their praise for the product at the launch, with many seeing it as the ultimate way to speed up transactions with their customers. Several see it as a key technology enabler to work around policies implemented by governments such as the United States.

"I must admit I was absolutely flabbergasted when Polo Flair first approached us to test this thing" said Mr Anurag Dikshit of industry heavyweight Party Gaming. "But my disbelief turned to amazement when I saw it in operation. This device could revolutionise the online gambling industry as we know it."

Mr Marlon Bacon of the Club World Casinos group was equally impressed. "We have all seen the impact of draconian enforcement measures employed by the USA's UIGEA laws, and the difficulties in securing effective payment processing solutions. We think this product can be a tremendous help in that regard. Once customers have installed the Zink we will be able to process their cash deposits and withdrawals in real time, enabling them to receive cash after having a win in a matter of seconds. This changes everything."

Polo Flair was evasive when questioned on the price of the units, preferring to concentrate on the technology instead. Said chief technologist Rick Roller "We have been working on this in secret for the better part of the last decade and a half. Ten years ago the technology to do this filled a whole room and was prohibitively expensive. These days we can fit it into the palm of your hand and now we are ready to go to market. We see this probably being distributed to the highest value customers first and then rolled out to more and more customers as the economies of scale kick in."

Polo Flair has already begun mass production of The Zink and it expects to have the first units in the hands of customers within the next month. Shares in Polo Flair shot up a spectacular 136% in after hours trading to a high of 401DKK.
