The Asian-facing online gambling operator Bodog88 claims it will be the first website under the Bodog brand licensee portfolio to offer pool betting on UK horseracing following an agreement with Totepool Alderney Limited.
Totepool is a pool provider operating in Guernsey under an Alderney Gambling Control Commission licence. It commingles its pools with the UK Tote.
Bodog Europe, another licensee of the brand, is expected to take up the product for the European and Canadian markets soon.
The initial deal will allow Bodog88's Asian customer base to bet on all the markets offered by the UK Tote including the famous Scoop6 and Jackpot, which regularly pay out over £1 million, and the popular Placepot whereby punters can win without backing a winner.
The deal gives customers the chance to bet on all the big race meetings from renowned racecourses that include Cheltenham, Ascot, Goodwood, Newmarket and Aintree.
Mick O'Connell from Totepool Alderney Ltd commented "We're delighted to be teaming up with the Bodog brand and look forward to giving their customers access to the wide range of exciting pool betting opportunities we have to offer on UK horse racing"
Robert Gustavsson, managing director of Bodog88, commented: "Providing the Tote pools to the Asian market is a huge step for the Bodog brand and also highlights the entrepreneurial nature of the Tote's approach to their product."
