The Finnish state-controlled gaming operator Veikkaus presented a strong performance when it released its 2010 results this week. The firm announced that it experienced exceptionally strong performance in the European gambling market which it attributed to its investment in customer relationships and efficient utilization of customer information with regard to products and services.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Betting reached an all time high in the company’s history with a recorded turnover of
1,689.9 million Euros an increase of 8.5%.
The company reported that online gaming showed the fastest growth of 25%.
Net profit was 503.7 million Euros.
Betting results contributed 462.7 million Euros to the Education and Culture Ministry to be distributed to Finnish arts, sports, science and youth work.
The company anticipates the good economic development to continue despite changes in the operating environment with online gaming expected to continue its rapid growth.
