Portsmouth Football Club has signed an agreement with online gambling group, Genting, which will see a percentage of profits from a new gaming site donated to local charity.
The commercial director of Portsmouth FC, Lucius Peart, said "We know that in their spare time, many fans enjoy playing a little poker or casino games on the internet," said Peart. "Therefore, we wanted to bring Pompey fans their own gaming sites and exclusive tournaments just for them. We chose Genting as our gaming partner, because they are as passionate about football as we are at Fratton Park and they embrace the same community spirit that we pride ourselves in. The partnership means we will be raising funds to go back in to the community with local charities. The first of those is the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children's Fund."
