Twenty-two people have been selected to advise the Australian Government on its gambling reforms through a new expert panel. The Ministerial Expert Advisory Group on Gambling, chaired by Professor Peter Shergold AC, will provide specialist and technical implementation advice and play an important role in assisting the Government to deliver its gambling reforms.

Party Gaming reports 9% increase in Q3 revenue, poker sales down

Online gaming group, Party Gaming plc, Friday posted a 9% rise in third quarter revenue and said it is confident about the full year outlook. Still, the total revenue increase was tempered by a fall in poker sales which are under pressure from U.S. poker websites like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars which are expanding aggressively in European markets where PartyGaming operates.

Personnel arrested and equipment seized in Serbian online casino raid

Regional media in Belgrade, Serbia are reporting that the local police have broken up an online gambling ring and made a number of arrests. The Interior Ministry has revealed that those arrested are to be charged with organising an illegal enterprise, namely; online gambling operations at Go Wild Casino and Casino Titan, which allegedly do not have permits from the Serbian National Lottery and the Games of Chance Administration at the Ministry of Finance.
