Microgame forces Italian online cash gaming delay

The introduction of online casino and poker cash games in the Italian market may be delayed until the final quarter of 2010 following complications with the decree authorising these additions by regulator AAMS.

The problem is rooted in a court action by the giant Italian operator Microgame which complained that the latest draft differs from the original approved by the European Commission, and will therefore have to be re-approved, a process that could take up to October this year to complete.
