The Canadian online gambling software provider Chartwell Technology has announced the appointment of Daniel Phillips as chief executive officer of its subsidiary Chartwell Games International. Phillips replaces Lee Richardson, who will be departing Chartwell to pursue other opportunities in the industry.
Phillips joined the company in August, 2009 as VP Operations, having worked in management positions at Ladbrokes, where he was involved in land-based casino operations for seven years before moving to the GalaCoral Group for eight years in the online gaming division, completing his service as gaming director responsible for casino, bingo, TV and poker operations across multiple channels.
The CEO responsibilities include oversight on the international operations of Chartwell, including business development functions, marketing, sales and expanded client services and operations.
"I am pleased and excited to be taking on this challenge, and feel the combination of my time with Chartwell to date and experience across the industry will stand me in good stead as we move into an exciting period of the company's development," Phillips said this week.
Dave Acorn, Chief Operating Officer of Chartwell Technology said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome Dan in his new capacity with the Chartwell team," stated "As we focus on growth, expanded client services and the rollout of new products on our recently launched Chartwell Games Platform, Dan's extensive industry experience and leadership skills will be a valuable asset in achieving our goals."
