A big fortnight of progressive jackpot wins

This story was published more than 14 years ago.

It's been a remarkable two weeks for big win progressives from a range of providers. Details are still scarce, but a player on the Vegas Technologies-powered Pay Dirt progressive hit a jackpot worth a reported $435,271, and another scored a similarly significant jackpot at Cryptologic-powered Intercasino that reached $421,074.

At RTG-powered Club USA Casino an American player cracked a monster $1,427,499 jackpot on Aztec Riches, and Microgaming-powered Betway has just reported a return of $1,242,562 on a 25 cent bet on Mega Moolah by Polish player Radoslaw M.

Adding the human touch that make these wins more interesting, Betway reports that the big winner is a 29-year-old man who has been saving to wed his fiancee, a circumstance that has now become unnecessary as his bank balance is about to balloon in a one-cash-tranche payment of the jackpot.

The excited Pole told Betway management that when the big win flashed up on his computer screen he was too scared to touch the hardware!

Betway will be flying Radoslaw and his fiancé to London where they will be presented with the big cheque and join the Betway team in a celebration.
