Kudos to the UK land and online bingo provider Gala Bingo, which is on the brink of launching a major 18 month fundraising initiative to raise a million pounds sterling for the Sue Ryder Care charity.
The campaign will run throughout the Gala Bingo divisions, including Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, E-Commerce and the firm's international division, engaging employees and customers across some 1800 retail outlets.
Gala spokesmen said that the company intends to raise £1 million thoughout its divisions for the charity, whose main purpose is to provide care for those with serious illnesses, and offer support to their families. The charity helps people battling cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, strokes, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease, brain injury and dementia.
The charity also does what it can to assist those with terminal conditions to enjoy the best quality of life possible, and is a lifeline for thousands of people throughout the UK and twelve other countries in Europe and southern Africa.
Neil Goulden, the CEO of the Gala Coral Group, says: “Everyone at Gala Coral is delighted to be associated with our chosen charity, Sue Ryder Care, and the outstanding work that they carry out. We have a long history of raising money for a variety of good causes, now we are focusing on a nominated charity that the whole group can support. Sue Ryder Care's Business Development Manager, Bridget Auger said: “We want to increase the hours of care and support we provide from four million to 10 million a year.
