Dream Drop Mega is a progressive slots jackpot that may be won at online casinos that have games from Relax Gaming. We have been tracking this jackpot since August 2023.
The Dream Drop Mega jackpot is a globally pooled progressive jackpot can be won while playing any one of a number of different slots published by Relax Gaming. It is the highest of five levels of Dream Drop jackpots on offer, with the others being the smaller Major, Maxi, Midi, and Rapid jackpots.
It offers something of a unique proposition in comparison to other progressive jackpots because it has both a guaranteed upper win level and a mechanism by which this guaranteed win level will increase over time. The first part means that, if not won earlier by random chance, the jackpot will be won by the player that makes the spin and contribution that pushes the jackpot over into its guaranteed value. Starting with a pool of €500,000 in 2022, the first guaranteed "must win" amount was an even €1 million. However every time the jackpot is won, the "must win" value is increased by €500,000 until the day when it will reach its maximum amount of €10 million.
Another distinct feature of this jackpot is that the reseed amount is not set to a fixed number, rather it is a fixed 60% proportion of the previous winning value. The jackpot is able to be reseeded at such a high value because the 12% contribution of every wager that goes towards the jackpot is quite high in comparison to other major progressive jackpots. These mechanisms combined suggest that the jackpot should in theory be won relatively often and for increasing amounts over time.
So how do you go about winning this glittering dream prize? Well for starters you will have to make a wager on one of the many Dream Drop versions of Relax Gaming slots that feature the jackpot as their main prize. At the time of writing this includes the likes of Banana Town, Beellionaire, Cluster Tumble, Fly Cats, Midnight Marauder, Money Train Origins, Neko Night, Santa's Stack, Temple Tumble 2, Volatile Egypt, and Wild Chapo, among others. Be sure to play the Dream Drop version, as there is often a non jackpot version of these games available as well. Note that currently most of the Dream Drop games have a theoretical base RTP of 94%, with the exception of Temple Tumble 2 and Volatile Vikings 2 which are both set higher at 94.8%. If you stick to playing those two games you maximise your potential spins for your bankroll and therefore get more chances to hit the bonus round.
Once playing you must trigger the jackpot round by spinning the required combination of symbols, which varies per game. Once in the jackpot round you either spin a giant wheel with segments divided up amongst the five different jackpot levels, or play a pick-em game where you must match three or more jackpot symbols. Once again the exact mechanism used to win the jackpot changes depending on the game you are in at the time.
