So, is Jumpin’ Jalapenos from WMS more than just a slot with a clever name? Well, you will have to be the judge of that yourself by playing this game, but we are of the opinion that it certainly is. With 5 reels, 50 paylines, a number of cool features, we’re more than ready to give this one the spicy, jumpy thumbs up!
All in all, we have to admit that we are a little bit disappointed with Jumpin’ Jalapenos. This could, however, be due entirely to the high expectations set by a game with such a clever name. Admit it: you really had high hopes for this one. We know we certainly did.
In the presentation department, the game is decidedly so-so. The graphics are definitely dated and not in a good way. The only saving grace here is the collection of funky symbols, which include tacos, mariachi guitars, and a fellow who has clearly had way too many of the hot peppers and can no longer sustain himself. There is also no music to speak of in this one, and the effects may as well be non-existent.
As far as the gameplay goes Jumpin’ Jalapenos is also pretty weak. It only offers up two bonuses: a free spins bonus that awards you 12 free go-arounds when you have three or more scatters come up as well as the gamble feature. Perhaps the most interesting bit of the gameplay is the set up of the reels where the first and fifth reels only consist of four symbols instead of five.
No need to eat the crazy hot pepper in order to enjoy this one. Instead, all you have to do here is set the number of paylines you wish to play, adjust the bet per line, and then give the “spin” button a push.
